Drawdown calculator: how close am I to breaching?

Enter an account's max loss and balances to see where its floor sits, how much room is left above it, and what's left today against a daily limit. It works the same for an evaluation, a funded account, or your own money with a floor you set.

How it's calculated

Room to breach is the balance minus the floor. On a static drawdown the floor is the starting balance minus the max loss, and it never moves. On a trailing drawdown it's the highest balance minus the max loss: the highest close for end-of-day, the highest equity with open trades included for intraday. It rises with each new high and never comes back down. More in how close am I to breaching and what a trailing drawdown is.

Many trailing floors stop rising at a set point, often the starting balance or a little above it. Once the floor reaches that point it stays, and the room can grow past the size of the max loss. Whether a closing balance or intraday equity counts makes a real difference on a volatile day; see end-of-day vs intraday drawdown.

A daily loss limit is a second line, counted from today's start: the limit plus today's P&L when it's negative. Claridae doesn't count today's gains as extra room, so this never shows more than the limit itself. Whichever line is closer is the one that matters today. The numbers come from the same rule engine Claridae runs on every account; check your own firm's current terms for which rules apply to you.
